Watch one of the best par saves you’ll ever see from India’s SSP Chawrasia

This is one of the best par saves we’ve seen on tour this year.

India’s S.S.P Chawrasia won his third European tour victory overnight, winning his home tournament the Hero Indian Open by two shots from countryman Anirban Lahiri. After four previous runners-up finishes at the event it was a sweet victory for Chawrasia, but it may not have come at all if not for an incredible par-save during his third round.

Chawrasia found the bushes with his tee shot at the par-3 12th hole on Saturday and as he edged his way back into the bush to play the shot, a par looked unlikely. The Indian played the ball as well as you could from the almost impossible lie, and then promptly holed the next chip shot for par.

And it seems Chawrasia had some earlier practice from the trees. He had already made two incredible birdies from the encroaching tree-line at the Dehli Golf Club a day earlier.
