GOLF MONTH to launch across Australia in October

Forget Oktoberfest, October is GOLF MONTH across Australia. Octeeberfest perhaps?

A few years ago a couple of Australia’s golf organisations launched a ‘Golf Week’ to showcase the game of golf to the broader Australian public hoping to attract new players to the game. It’s success has meant the week has become a nation-wide “GOLF MONTH” to be held throughout October.

All of Australian golf’s major organisational bodies are behind “GOLF MONTH” and activities are planned at all sorts of places across the country.

It’s focus is on attracting new people to the game, as well as enticing golfers back out on to the golf course who may not have had a hit for some time. There is also a great incentive for us hardcore, seasoned golfers to get involved by introducing new club members – and a chance to win a superb Emirates Australian Open experience.

From last week’s launch press release:

GOLF MONTH is inviting those who have never hit a ball, or need a little help with their pro-aspirations to those who are on the course every week to play golf during October. Activities will be on offer for people of all ages and abilities with golf facilities nation-wide encouraging golfers new, returning and existing to benefit from great offers throughout October.

For GOLF MONTH there will be membership drives, Come and Try clinics, women’s programs, Open and Family days, new formats of the game, community events, MyGolf junior programs, lessons and coaching with a professional for all levels of golfers, and there’s also the chance to win a money can’t buy Emirates Australian Open experience for club members who introduce a new member during the month of October.

Keep your eye on www.golfmonth.com.au in the coming weeks to see the GOLF MONTH activities happening across Australia during October and introduce your friends to the great game of golf.
