Adam Scott will go back to the broomstick for Augusta

Despite switching to the short putter a few weeks ago, Adam Scott will revert to the broomstick putter when he heads to the 2015 Masters next week.

Adam Scott has told Ben Everill of AAP that he will be using the broomstick putter at Augusta for the 2015 Masters Tournament next week.

Scott has been practising at Augusta National over the past few weeks and seems to have made up his mind on which putter he will be using.

“Putting with a longer putter is maybe the smarter thing to do (at Augusta),” Scott told pgatour.com when still undecided after his final round at Bay Hill.

“It’s all about the lag putting. It’s such a difference in weight of club and stroke and everything. I’m just trying to figure it all out.”

It’s somewhat concerning that Scott is in two minds over which putter to use but it’s a good idea to have made the decision already.

Scott will join five other Australians who have already earned their place in the field for next week’s Masters; Geoff Ogilvy, Marc Leishman, Jason Day, John Senden and Anthony Murdaca.

The 2015 Masters Tournament will be broadcast live on both FoxSports and the Seven Network.
