Kevin Na and Lee Westwood have posted a few videos showing how thick the rough is at Erin Hills this week.

The US Open is being hosted by Erin hills this week – an inland course in Wisconsin built in 2006 that looks and plays a little like a links golf course. It looks fantastic with lots of naturally preserved undulation in the golf course, wide fairways and short grass around the greens.

But despite the generous fairway width, it’s the rough that it getting a fair bit of attention as players play their first practice rounds. Maybe they should play Irish drop rule and be done with it.

Lee Westwood posted this fun video on Instagram – watch for the rough appearance by his caddie…

The rough is really thick this week just off the edge of the fairway! 😂😂😂#usopen
